Cooking with whey: Vanilla Pumpkin cake

Looking for a delishes healthy, guilt free, high protein snack, look no further. This vanilla high protein pumpkin cake is perfect when you're on a diet and want to satisfy your cravings.


This cake is so good it feels like cheating on your diet.



What you need:


  • 3 scoops of Whey protein (preferably vanilla).

  • 200 grams of oat flower.

  • Cinnamon to taste.

  • 1 tea spoon of ginger.

  • 2 tea spoons of vanilla extract.

  • a pinch of salt.

  • 1 tea spoon of baking powder.

  • 2 egg whites.

  • 2 whole eggs.

  • 250 grams of mashed pumpkin.

  • 2 table spoons of unsweetend apple sauce.

  • Crushed walnuts.



Directions:


Preheat the oven on 180 degrees celsius.


Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl first, stir well.


Mix the wet ingredients in a seperate bowl.


Add the wet ingredients together with the eggs to the dry ingredients and stir until you get a smooth substance. Lastly mix in the walnuts and add everything into a baking tray.


Bake for 30 minutes on 180 degrees celsius and let cool down in the fridge for about two hours.
