Packed with omega 3 fatty acids and protein, who doesn't like salmon. This honey glazed salmon recipe is made with wild salmon and organic honey and even if I have to say it myself first, this is probably the best salmon recipe out there.

Find out how to make honey glazed salmon below.

What you need:

  • Salmon (I used wild salmon on skin).

  • 1 table spoon of mustard.

  • 2 table spoons of honey (I always use organic, no added sugar honey).

  • 2 table spoons of olive oil.

  • Onion.

  • Thyme.

  • Cayenne pepper.

  • Salt.

  • Pepper.

Instructions:

  • First oil up an oven tray and place the salmon inside.

  • Get a small bowl and add the mustard, honey and olive oil.

  • Chop the onion finely in small cubes.

  • Add thyme, cayenne, pepper and salt to the honey mustard mix and stir everything well. When it's smooth mixture add the chopped onion as well.

  • Poor the dressing over the salmon and let it stand for about 30 min so the flavour gets into the fish.

  • Warm up the oven on 220 degrees celsius. Once warmed up, place the tray into the oven for 20 minutes.

  • Enjoy!

Side dish tip: with a fatty fish like salmon I like to eat a light side dish. With this one I just steamed green asparagus and bimi. Bimi is a mix between asparagus and broccoli. It's very healthy and extremely tasty.

But of course, feel free to add whatever side you would like. I always like a light side with salmon because the fish itself is already quite heavy. Having a lot of protein and fat is already fulfilling.

If you like spicy food, just go wild with the cayenne. I like my food spicy and didn't specify how much you should use here because I think it's personal preference. I like my food quite spicy.
